Permanent Collection
In 1987 the Tucson Airport Authority board of directors made a commitment to acquire art for the airport. To accurately represent the region, artist eligibility is limited to Tucson's air service area, which includes Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz, and Cochise counties and northern Sonora, Mexico.

Works by more than 40 regional artists are located throughout the terminal complex. A guide to the collection is available at the Airport Information Centres.

Functional Art
In 1996 TAA installed sculptural dividers to separate arriving and departing passengers at the security checkpoints.
