Every airport must plan for growth to provide facilities that will meet the demands placed on them. General Aviation activity plays a vital role in the future of TIA. The TIA Master plan outlines the impact GA is expected to have at TIA and how the Authority plans to accommodate the growth.

To foster this expected growth, the General Aviation Strategic Plan was approved in 1998. The plan calls for the continuing development of general aviation facilities at TIA including encouraging new business on the airport by acting as a third party lender.
