GARAGE PARKING OPENS
AT TUCSON INTERNATIONAL AUGUST 1
Close-in covered parking will be available on the second floor of the parking garage at Tucson International Airport beginning August 1. The rates are $13 per day and $3 per hour. TAA President/CEO Bonnie Allin said, “We’re delighted to offer our customers another amenity to help make their travel experience more pleasant. The second floor of the parking garage, adjacent to the rental car building, for the first time provides TIA travelers covered long term parking within walking distance of the terminal.”
The three level, 2,100-car parking garage opened in August 2002 as part of the rental car project. Until now, the seven rental car companies based at Tucson International have been using the first two floors for their operations, while the uncovered third floor is used for airport employee parking.
Garage patrons will access the second floor of the garage, where there will initially be space for 605 cars, from Tucson Blvd. by following the upper terminal roadway, turning right on Airport Drive just past the rental car building and following signs around the garage to the entrance.
Parking lots operated by Tucson Airport Authority include:
. Hourly – in front of the terminal: $1 per ½ hour, $12/day.
. Daily – in front of the terminal: $1 per ½ hour for first hour then $1.50 per hour, $9/day.
. Garage – Adjacent to the Rental Car Building, east of the terminal: $3 per hour, 13/day.
. Economy (Park’N Save) – off E. Corona east of the terminal. Shuttles operate 24 hours continuously between the parking lot and the terminal: $4/day.
. Economy Covered: $8/day April-September, $6/day October-March.
. Cell Phone Waiting Lot – on Airport Drive, west of terminal off terminal loop road: free parking for people waiting in their vehicles to pick up arriving passengers.
