Postage Stamps, Clothing, and a Little Imagination
at Tucson Airport: Lower Link Gallery

      Flights of Fancy: Postage Stamps, Clothing, and a Little Imagination features new works in collage by local artist Barbara Brandel on display in Tucson Airport’s Lower Link Gallery.

      Brandel’s work has evolved from weaving to 2-D and 3-D mixed media assemblages with buttons and stamps, 2-D mixed media paintings, and acrylic paintings on canvas. Flights of Fancy includes stamps from Brandel’s travels around the world.

      Departures and Arrivals, a collaborative exhibit by The Print Group and Raices Taller Gallery features diverse works including paintings, mixed media works, and original hand pulled prints by artists Jo Andersen, Quenby Bucklaew, Craig Carlson, E. Michael Contreras, Neda Contreras, Christine Dawdy, Carolyn King, Ceci Garcia, Joe Marshall, David Moreno, Kathryn Polk, Marika Szabo, Glory Tacheenie-Campoy, David Tineo, George Welch, Melanie Yazzie, and Amanda Yopp. This exhibit is located in the Upper Link Gallery through October 31, 2007.

      Also on display through September 30, local photographers David Burckhalter and Mina Sedgwick exhibit Churches and Saints: Religious Images from the Mexican States of Puebla & Tlaxcala in the Main Gallery, ticketing level/center.
