DATE OF DISTRIBUTION: April 18, 2008 FOR RELEASE UPON RECEIPT Alaska Airlines Adds Second Alaska Airlines will add a second daily nonstop flight to Seattle, Washington, from Tucson International Airport (TIA) June 8 through September 6, 2008, on a 124-passenger Boeing 737-700 aircraft. The plane will leave Tucson at 6:45 p.m. and arrive in Seattle at 9:45 p.m. The flight departs from Seattle at 3:05 p.m. and arrives in Tucson at 6:05 p.m. Alaska’s current flight departs Tucson at 11:21 a.m. and arrives in Seattle at 2:35 p.m. That flight departs Seattle at 7:40 a.m. and arrives in Tucson at 10:42 a.m. Alaska is the only carrier with daily nonstop service from TIA to Seattle. “Seattle is an important destination for Tucson travelers,” said Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) President/CEO Bonnie Allin. “This service also provides a link to cities in Alaska and Canada, and connections to Asia as well.” There are currently 12 airlines providing 88 daily departures to 28 nonstop destinations from Tucson. Airlines and service include: Aeromexico Connect (Hermosillo); Alaska (Seattle); American (Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth); Continental (Houston, Newark); Delta (Atlanta, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City); ExpressJet (Austin, Kansas City, Ontario, CA, Sacramento, San Antonio, Omaha, Reno, Spokane); Frontier (Denver); JetBlue (New York); Northwest (Minneapolis); Southwest (Albuquerque, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego); United (Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC/Dulles); US Airways (Las Vegas, Phoenix, nonstop service to Charlotte, N.C. begins June 3).
