DATE OF DISTRIBUTION: April 1, 2008 FOR RELEASE UPON RECEIPT TUCSON AIRPORT AUTHORITY BOARD At a meeting today, the Tucson Airport Authority Board of Directors approved a five year lease agreement with DHL Express (USA), Inc. a division of the worldwide airfreight company, for 1,976 sq. ft. located in the amount of $9.25 per sq. ft. per year. The facility is located in Bay 5 of the air cargo building at 2800 E. Airport Drive, and is currently being leased on a month-to-month basis by another division of DHL. DHL airplanes operate daily from Tucson International Airport. The company is one of three cargo airlines serving Tucson, along with FedEx and UPS. ### The Tucson Airport Authority, TAA, is a nonprofit entity created by State Charter in 1948. Composed of 115 community members, the Authority has a nine-member board of directors that meets monthly. TAA President/CEO Bonnie Allin, oversees day-to-day operations, and a staff of 300 employees.
