US AIRWAYS NONSTOP SERVICE TO CHARLOTTE
BECOMES DAYTIME DEPARTURE AUGUST 19

     US Airways’ nonstop service to Charlotte, North Carolina, switches to a morning departure on Tuesday, August 19, and on September 3 the departure will leave Tucson in the afternoon. A recap of the schedule change is as follows:

      Effective August 19, 2008

      Depart Tucson at 8:25 a.m. Arrive Charlotte at 3:07 p.m.
      Depart Charlotte at 8:05 p.m. Arrive Tucson 9:15 p.m.

      Effective September 3, 2008

      Depart Tucson at 2:05 p.m. Arrive Charlotte at 8:39 p.m.
      Depart Charlotte at 11:40 a.m. Arrive Tucson at 1:03 p.m.

      The flight currently departs Tucson at 11:30 p.m. and arrives in Charlotte at 6:12 a.m. The return flight leaves Charlotte at 6:15 p.m. and arrives in Tucson at 7:23 p.m.

      US Airways began nonstop service to Charlotte on June 3. With Charlotte being US Airways’ largest hub, this route offers Tucson travelers convenient connections to an impressive lineup of destinations along the east coast, throughout the U.S. and to the Caribbean.

      US Airways also offers 11 daily departures to Phoenix.

      There are currently 11 airlines at Tucson International Airport providing daily nonstop service to 26 destinations, and connections around the world. Airlines and service include: AeroMexico Connect (Hermosillo); Alaska (Seattle); American (Chicago O'Hare, Dallas/Ft. Worth); Continental (Houston, Newark); Delta (Atlanta, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City); ExpressJet (Austin, Kansas City, Ontario, CA, Sacramento, San Antonio, Omaha, Reno); Frontier (Denver); Northwest (Minneapolis); Southwest (Albuquerque, Chicago Midway, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego); United (Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco); and US Airways (Charlotte, Las Vegas, Phoenix).
