TUCSON AIRPORT AUTHORITY CELEBRATES SIXTY
UNVEILS NEW LOGO
ISSUES COMMEMORATIVE CALENDAR

At the annual meeting of the Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) today, TAA President/CEO Bonnie Allin unveiled an updated logo for the Tucson Airport Authority, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the organization (see related news release).

Ms. Allin explained, “The completion of the improvements to the terminal facility signals a step into the future, and is the appropriate time to update our corporate identity. We’ve streamlined the look of our mark, keeping the profile of our mountain ranges, used in the prior logo, and added a swoosh – with a jet.”

“Because there has always been confusion about who and what the Tucson Airport Authority is,” she continued, “we’ve listed the two airports, Tucson International Airport (TIA) and Ryan Airfield, under this new mark for TAA. We have also created two new logos – one for TIA and one for Ryan - that echo the Tucson Airport Authority brand, but they are separate elements that will be used independently on signs, advertising, social media and the website, and in other promotional material.”

The updated logo includes a tag line with the anniversary date, 1948-2008.

To commemorate the anniversary, the Authority has produced a calendar that includes historic photos as well as interesting information and useful facts about TAA, TIA and Ryan Airfield. It is free and available to the public by calling 573-4868, or email to info@tucsonairport.org.
