Tucson Airport Authority Acquires Land

       At its meeting today, the Tucson Airport Authority board of directors approved the acquisition of approximately eight acres at the intersection of South Plumer Avenue and East Sears Boulevard, in the amount of $1.7 million. The parcel is identified in the Tucson International Airport Master Plan Update as necessary to meet the revised Runway Protection Zone requirements for the crosswind runway, 3-21.

      Funding for the purchase is being provided by Arizona Department of Transportation grants.
