TIA DISCOUNTS GARAGE PARKING IN PREPARATION
FOR PARKING LOT PAVEMENT SEAL COATING
The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) announced today it is discounting rates for garage parking to $9 per day at Tucson International Airport (TIA) starting July 13. The rate reduction is to encourage airport visitors to use the garage during maintenance on the hourly and daily parking lots in front of the terminal that begin Monday, July 27.
Seal coating of the lots is being done in phases in order to keep the lots open. In order to accommodate the phasing plan, no overnight parking will be allowed in the hourly lot for the duration of this project, expected to last 45 days.
Daily parking will be available in the garage which is adjacent to the TIA Rental Car Facility off Airport Drive (from Tucson Blvd. follow the upper terminal roadway, turn right on Airport Drive just past the rental car building and follow signs to the garage entrance). Rates are $9 per day.
Daily (long-term) parking is also available in the TIA economy lot at the corner of S. Tucson Blvd. and E. Corona Rd. Rates are $4 per day. Covered economy parking is also available, immediately east of the economy lot, for $6 per day.
The TIA economy parking lots feature 24 hour continuous shuttle service (including a wheelchair accessible van), and is lighted, fenced, TV-monitored, and police-patrolled.
Daily parking rates in the lots in front of the terminal will remain the same during the seal-coating project at $9 per day.
Free parking is available for visitors picking up arriving passengers in the TIA Cell Phone Waiting lot, on Airport Drive, off the entrance roadway to the terminal, between S. Plumer and S. Tucson Blvd.
