The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) announced today it will continue to offer a reduced rate of $9 per day, including tax, for garage parking at the Tucson International Airport (TIA) terminal through March 31, 2010. This is a savings of $2 per day compared to the normal rate from October through March. “This is the only garage parking option available at the airport” said TAA President/CEO Bonnie Allin. “To encourage customers to experience the many benefits of this parking option, we will keep the rate the same as the Daily (uncovered) lot.” With room for over 600 vehicles, the garage is a short, covered walk to the terminal. It is located on the second level of the parking structure adjacent to the rental car building at the east side of the Airport terminal. To reach the lot, use the main airport entrance at Tucson Boulevard and follow the Garage Parking signs. The rate for Economy Covered is also being reduced to $5 per day, including tax, through March 2010, only $1 more than the uncovered Economy lot. This lot has shade ramadas for 303 vehicles and is just east of S. Tucson Blvd. on Corona Rd., adjacent to the TIA Economy Lot. Shuttles operate 24 hours continuously between the parking lot and the terminal. All TIA lots accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa. For credit and debit card users, all lots offer automated exit lanes and EasyPay automated pay stations for a quicker exit. For maps and directions, visit www.airtucson.com.
